neatly opened along top, flap still glued down except for the point,

This is a receipt for a payment on a Fire Insurance
Policy loss from Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Co., in Georgetown,
Mass. The installment payment receipt is attached to the promisory
note
with a bit of wax. The receipt is for "those losses between June 12th
1846 and June 12th 1852". Condition:
very good condition, with only a slight crease on the right edge of the

Vintage Fire Insurance Policy from Hingham Mutual,
of Hingham, Massachusetts. Policy covers the house and contents
located " on the corner of Depot and Washington Streets, South
Easton,
Mass." The coverage dates are from January 30th, 1911 to February 1st,
1914. There is an Agents sticker at the bottom of the policy. Condition: Policy is in good condition, with a
crease on the back, and the lower corner on the back, and some slight
discoloration on the front. #0620

Fire Insurance Policy from Fitchburg Mutual Fire
Insurance Co., Fitchburg, Massachusetts. This policy covers a house and
contents, and barn, in Brookfield, East Village. The Agent's stamp on
the front is from "General Insurance, North Brookfield, Mass." The
coverage dates of this policy are from January 1, 1869 to January 1,
1873. This policy bears stamp that says United States Inter Revenue on
the outside, and Twenty Five Cts. Certificate on the inside. The
postmark says, "Fitchburg M.F. Ins. Co." Condition:
The policy is folded in half vertically
and then in thirds horizontally. It has some small brown spots on
front, and another where stamp lay against it when folded. The top
horizontal fold is coming apart on the left, and there is a small tear
below the stamp. The stamp is in very good condition. #0622

Vintage Insurance policy and envelope from
Springfield Fire and Marine Insurance Company, of Springfield,
Massachusetts, for property located in South Easton, Massachusetts.
Policy covers a barn, the horses housed there, their harnesses and
feed, and the buggy. Policy coverage period is March 19, 1889 to March
21, 1894. There is also an enclosed letter dated June 19, 1889,
granting the barn owner permission to make "alterations and repairs to
the barn covered by said policy, in consideration of the 45¢
premium." Condition: letter has at one time
been horizontally
folded in thirds, but folds vertically down the center now. Upper
right
corner is creased, there is some darkening from lower left corner to
center. Policy condition is excellent, with only minor corner
wear.
Envelope has been slit open at left edge and top, has corner and edge
wear, and some discoloring around the edges. #0619

Four Centenary of the Telegraph first day cover
stamps on a military comic envelope. The envelope has a picture of a
soldier leaning out the window shouting, "Hey! Youse Guys! The Mail's
In!" Envelope is copyright 1942 by Porto-server - Chicago. Stamps are
postmarked Baltimore, MD 1944, with the "First Day of Issue" stamped
across the postage. Condition: Envelope has
some corner and edge wear,
and some wrinkling at lower right. The right edge is slightly yellowed.
The four stamps are in pretty good condition, one has small layer tears
in the sky area, and one is beginning to peel up at the edge. #0598

left has
a picture of the H.R. Wright building with pedestrians and horse drawn
vehicles out front. The return address area has printed on it, "Albany,
N.Y. Produce Market Quotations. -from- H.R. Wright, Wholesale
Commission House. Established 1865." This envelope bears a clear,
undated postmark, saying only, "Albany, N.Y." in it. Envelope dates to
late 1800s. Condition: Used, slight corner
wear and creasing on
corners, slight tear at lower right bottom where the flap seam is in

Lot of four different tally cards. First
one has
image of a large 4 leaf clover sheltering two ladybugs, one bears a
small four leaf clover, the other, a bouquet of blue flowers. Between
them is a heart. The second card has an image of six 4 leaf clovers
growing up through the nail holes of a horse shoe. The third card
shows a bird of paradise and gold accents, by The Buzza
Co., fourth
card is of a butterfly and flowers. The butterfly card and the bird of
paradise card are dated 1927 and 1928 respectively, the horseshoe card
is stamped 1905. Clover cards measure 2.5 inches wide by 4.5 inches
tall. Condition: used, generally good
